The importance of having a healthy judicial branch can never be overstated. Heavy caseloads, difficult decisions and demanding schedules negatively affect the physical, mental, emotional and behavioral health of our most resilient officials. Without the proper attention these conditions could eventually impact a judge’s performance inside and outside of the courtroom, thereby having unintended consequences and results. In light of this possibility we come to one conclusion. Judicial wellness is worth it! The FJWP is grounded on the premise that when we have a judiciary that is well it is more likely to yield a job well done.
